CULTIVATE Seminar Course Description
This cross-industry seminar course prepares employees to serve as Volunteer Leaders who drive strategic initiatives across the WorkForce, WorkPlace, and MarketPlace. Through structured frameworks, practical tools, and research-based strategies, participants learn to design, activate, and sustain volunteer efforts that align with organizational goals. Using the VIA Framework, participants gain skills in strategic relationship-building, motivational leadership, content curation, and storytelling for impact. The cross-industry seminar course emphasizes actionable leadership practices, cross-sector influence, and measurable outcomes that result in enduring organizational and community value.
Learning Outcomes:
- Apply the VIA Framework to design and lead volunteer initiatives that create measurable impact across WorkForce, WorkPlace, and MarketPlace dimensions.
- Construct compelling stakeholder-centered narratives using the PORS & PROS method to enhance engagement, storytelling, and volunteer program advocacy.
- Distinguish between general and strategic relationships and develop plans to leverage strategic networks for organizational goals.
- Analyze internal and external strategic environmental factors using macroenvironmental and microenvironmental scanning techniques to inform volunteer leadership strategies.
- Identify and assess key motivational drivers for volunteer leaders using the Volunteer Leader Motivator Map, and design engagement strategies aligned with these drivers.
- Demonstrate systems thinking by mapping and aligning volunteer initiatives with organizational structures, strategies, systems, and stakeholders.
- Systematically curate, frame, and disseminate high-quality content that strengthens volunteer group visibility, brand credibility, and leadership positioning.
- Design volunteer engagement activities that incorporate motivational alignment, sustainable leadership practices, and community impact assessment.
