Marian E. Amoa, MA, CPDC

Marian Amoa is a seasoned leader with over 20 years of experience in philanthropy, health, and human and social services. She has worked across nonprofit, academic, international development, and global public health sectors, recognized for her strategic thinking, collaborative style, and strong interpersonal skills. Marian is deeply committed to advancing equity and inclusion, fostering environments where communities and workplaces thrive through belonging and opportunity.
As Director of Equity & Inclusion at United States Pharmacopeia (USP), Marian supports the Chief Equity Officer in leading USP’s global Equity Equals Excellence strategy. She guides the implementation of data-driven, context-specific practices that promote inclusive and high-performing cultures across USP’s global sites.
Her previous leadership roles include the Annie E. Casey Foundation, United Way of Central Maryland, and Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Her expertise spans performance management, strategic planning, and program evaluation.
Marian holds advanced degrees in Intercultural Communication and Communication Studies from UMBC and the University of Ghana. She is a certified coach and has earned certificates in Public Performance Measurement and Strategic Management from Rutgers and Georgetown Universities.
